One hundred and twenty top ranking police officers of the state including the superintendent of police (SP) of 33 districts will participate in the 2nd Assam Police SP conference to be held at the oil township of Duliajan on January 3 and 4. Taking stock of the ongoing preparation for the 2-day event at Duliajan here on Tuesday, state minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Power, Cultural Affairs and Tourism Bimal Borah said that the focus of the 2-day conference will be on the empowerment of the police force. The minister was accompanied by Duliajan MLA Terosh Gowalla, Dibrugarh DC Biswajit Pegu, SP Shwetank Mishra, senior officials of Assam Police, CEO Assam Power Distribution Company Limited Abhijit Saikia and Oil India Limited Residential Chief Executive Prasanta Borkakoti.
