“No Drone Zone” declared near Lepetkata Plant and GDU Plant at Duliajan. As per the request issued by the Chief Manager (Security).for Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited, Lepetkata, Dist -Dibrugarh to declare the listed vital installations of BCPL, Plant at Lepetkata and GDU Plant at Duliajan as “Prohibited Area for Non Conventional Aerial Object/ Drones Operation”, the Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh, has declared that an area of 2 Kms radius from perimeter of the listed vital installations of BCPL, Plant at Lepetkata & GDU Plant at Duliajan as prohibited area for flying of Non Conventional Aerial Objects/ Drones operations and any operation within the area will require explicit permission from concerned authorities and any drone spotted operating near airfield without prior clearance shall be destroyed as per MHA SOP and Drone Rules 2021. Hence the area around 2 Kms radius from perimeter of the listed vital installations of BCPL, Plant at Lepetkata & GDU Plant at Duliajan will be treated as “No Drone Zone” and a warning notice will be displayed around the perimeter walls of vital installations and sensitive areas.
