Exactly three years ago an engineering marvel the Bogibeel Bridge was dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Situated 17-km downstream of Dibrugarh town, the Bogibeel bridge spanning over 4.94-km is the fourth bridge over the Brahmaputra and the longest rail-cum-road bridge of the country. Coinciding with late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birthday on December 25 which also happened to be Christmas Day the iconic bridge was inaugurated by the Prime Minister ushering in a new era of development in the region.
