A 6-year-old girl Kasturika Chetia who was born blind and had no hope of seeing in her life got her eyesight back thanks to a team of doctor and medical staff at Apeksha, a newly constructed multispeciality hospital located at AMC Road, Dibrugarh. Kasturika who is a resident of a village near Khowang in Dibrugarh district was suffering from congenital blindness. She could not see anything with both her eyes.

Her parents were deeply saddened by the condition of their beloved daughter. What they did not do for the treatment of their daughter – prayed to God in temples, met doctors – but due to lack of state-of-the-art medical services, he only met with disappointment.
Recently, the parents of that girl met Dr. Arundhati Tamuli, an ophthalmologist at Apeksha Hospital in Dibrugarh, and informed the doctor about their daughter’s problem.

The doctor told him that their daughter’s treatment would be complete and the doctor did an operation on one of the girl’s eye, which was completely successful. It may be mentioned that the newly built Ophthalmology Department of Apeksha Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The facilities being provided here are probably available for the first time in any hospital in Upper Assam due to which people get a lot of benefit and they don’t need to go anywhere for treatment.

This little girl named Kasturika can now see everything well with one eye. On the very first day after the operation, she even read the letters and numbers of the English alphabet correctly for the eye examination in the doctor’s chamber. And very soon her second eye is also going to be operated, after that she will be able to live her normal life happily. There was no limit to the happiness of her parents after the successful operation of their daughter’s eye. They thanked the doctor and her team and all the members of the hospital management wholeheartedly.
