For the first time in the history of the Chess Olympiad India became the first nation, to begin with, a torch relay & this approach taken by PM Narendra Modi Ji has reawakened children’s interest. State minister Bimal Borah received the first-ever Chess Olympiad Torch Relay from Grandmaster Mitrabha Guha, which arrived in Dibrugarh today after being launched in Delhi on June 19th.
MLA Terosh Gowalla, Dibrugarh DC Biswajit Pegu, District Development Commissioner Sanjoy Dutta & many other dignitaries were also present at the program.
