The 1st Award cum Felicitation Programme for Pvt High Schools Teachers of Mankota – Milan Nagar Area was organised under the banner of Jagat-Jyoti Torch Bearer Study Centre Milan Nagar at NLB City College Auditorium on the 10th of September 2022( sat) .The programme was headed by Dr Sanjivananda Borgohain Principal of NLB City College Nirmali Goan as the Chief Guest,Dr Manashi Borgohain Vice Principal of City College and Priyanka Saikia the Administrative Coordinator of Shishu Niketan High school respectively as Guests of Honour along with other dignitaries.
Mrs Jharna Dutta Gaur the Founder and Core Mentor of the centre( who herself is a national award winner for her contributions) states “This Programme is a small gesture to recognise and motivate the unsung counterparts in the field and inspire them for still better presentations ” Three schools took part and the list of Awardees are-Madam Pallavi Rajkhowa and Sazzad Ali of Shishu Niketan High school, Sir Yam Thappa and Madam Antonia Areng of St Xavier’s High School and Sir Arun Roy and Sir Hemanta Pegu of Prashanthi Divine Valley School bagged the award for their untiring contributions to students development and innovative methods of teaching respectively. The awardees were gifted with a memento and goodies each. Mrs Gaur further regrets the degrading relationships among parents students and teachers which effect successful learning in the present digital arena.She also adds that her centre strives for a strong triangular bond among the comrades of education through motivational and counseling sessions which is much needed for a better Nation tomorrow.
