Harmeet Singh, a 1992-batch IPS (Indian Police Service) officer, took over charge as the new Guwahati Police Commissioner on Monday. He took over charge from outgoing police commissioner and senior IPS officer Munna Prasad Gupta.
Taking to Twitter he wrote:”Took over charge as CP @guwahatipolice today.Let us all join together to implement the Hon’ CM @himantabiswa ‘s vision of a safe & secure Guwahati.May I request the cooperation, assistance & affection of all citizens in this endeavour”
