Dibrugarh Police recovered Rs 16.33 lakh from the residence of a maid working in the residence of Dr Premananda Das, a doctor in Dibrugarh.
The doctor, a resident of Jalan Nagar, Dibrugarh had filed a complaint suspecting theft against his maid. Accordingly police started investigation and raided the rented house of the maid Rumena Begum in Durgabari area in Dibrugarh and recovered the cash. Further investigation is on.
