Union MoS of petroleum and natural gas Rameswar Teli on Sunday took stock of the preparations of the Waterways Conclave-2022 at the Chowkidinghee playground. 
During his visit the union minister said that40 national and international companies will be participating in the event. A delegation of 8 leading Dutch companies from Netherlands will also take part in the event. As many as 6 MoUs for anchoring collaborative projects in the waterways sectors are also slated to be signed during the conclave.
The 2-day event that will begin from Monday (April 11) seeks to deliberate on collaborative opportunities in the waterways sector between India and its neighbouring nations.
Union minister of road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari, union minister of ports, shipping and waterways & AYUSH Sarbananda Sonowal, union minister of railways, communications, electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw, union minister of tourism, culture and DoNER G Kishan Reddy, union MoS of petroleum and natural gas Rameswar Teli and union MoS for external affairs Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh will attend the conclave on April 12. The Economic Affairs minister from Bhutan Lyonpo Loknath Sharma and Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will also be attending the event.
