The Yuvraj Singh Foundation on Saturday donated 50 ICU bed and oxygen cylinders for the 100-bedded pediatric ICU to be built at the Assam Medical College (AMC), Dibrugarh. Volunteers of the Yuvraj Singh Foundation on Saturday set up the ICU beds at the children ward of the Assam Medical College. Head of the department of the pediatrics department Dr Pritikar Duarah and assistant professor Dr Jolly Rabha had earlier got in touch with the Yuvraj Singh Foundation for setting up the 100-bedded pediatrics ICU at the Assam Medical College. The Yuvraj Singh Foundation is a non-profit organisation established by leading Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. The foundation works extensively in the healthcare sector with focus on issues related to cancer.

Earlier on July 16, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Yuvraj Singh Foundation and Assam Medical College to set up the 100-bedded pediatric ICU at AMC. Set up in 1947, Assam Medical College is the oldest government medical college of the North East.

As per the MoU the Yuvraj Singh Foundation will supply Philips EV 300 ICU Ventilator, BiPAP Machine, Patient Monitors, Badside Locker, Oxygent Cylinder 40 L with flow meters, Semi fowler ICU beds with mattress and Pillow, IV stands with wheels, suction machine portable, Infusion Syringe Pump, Crash Cart, ECG Machine with Display, Philips AED Machine, LED x-ray viewing box, Drug Refrigerator 350 L, Equipment Installation & Transportation.
