The body of a 12-year old boy Ayushman Dowerah who was missing since Thursday was recovered by a joint NDRF and SDRF team from the Buridehing river at Khamtighat, around 7-km from Dibrugarh town on Saturday.
Earlier a missing report was filed at Milan Nagar Police outpost in Dibrugarh. The minor boy was a resident of Chowkidinghee area. He was last seen at Jokai Khamtighat area with his bicycle. A CCTV footage of the boy riding his bicycle was captured near the deputy commissioner’s office.
The bicycle and sleepers of the boy was found near the bank of the river. After the incident SDRF and NDRF team rushed to the spot and started a search operation to rescue the boy.
