Former secretary of the Dibrugarh Sahitya Sabha and prominent social worker Thaneswar Bora passed away at the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi today at the age of 73. Bora was airlifted to Delhi by air ambulance on Sunday after his condition deteriorated due to liver-related complicacies. In 2011 Bora had contested as the AGP candidate from the Dibrugarh Assembly seat. He was the founder president of the All Assam Namghar Coordination Committee and was also the convenor of Bor Axom Natya Gosthi. His death was condoled by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and other institutions of Dibrugarh.
