Dibrugarh police arrested Shakti Singh (27) from Graham Bazar, Dibrugarh and Sahid Khan (39) from Amolapatty area of Dibrugarh on Wednesday for being involved in online betting during the ongoing IPL matches. A case was registered against the duo under section 14/15 of the Assam Game and Betting Act.
SP Dibrugarh Shwetank Mishra said that police has received some more names involved in such betting during the interrogation. Police will take action against all those involved in the betting racket, he said.
