Tea estate model Schools were inaugurated at Chabua,Sepon,Teenali(Naharkatiya),Dilli(Naharkatiya) and Dirial(Duliajan) on Wednesday.The Chabua T.E. Model School was inaugurated by Cabinet and Guardian Minister of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia Shri Atul Bora,Sepon T.E. Model School was inaugurated by Honourable Minister of Power,Tourism etc Shri Bimal Bora,Teenali and Dilli TE Model School by Transport,Industries and Commerce Minister Shri Chandra Mohan Patowary and Dirial T.E.Model School by Honourable Minister of Welfare of Tea Tribes and Labour Welfare Minister Shri Sanjay Kishan.The Chabua T.E. Model School was inaugurated by the Cabinet and Guardian Minister of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia Shri Atul Bora in presence of Lakhimpur Lok Sabha M.P. Shri Pradan Barua, Honourable MLA of Chabua,Shri Ponakan Baruah and Dibrugarh DC ,Shri Biswajit Pegu (I.A.S.) and Jyoti Chitraban Vice Chairman admist a huge gathering of spectators. After then a school magazine namely “Prasir Patrika “where Children wrote their thoughts and imaginations was inaugurated and then a “Smart class” was also inaugurated.The Head Teacher welcomed the Chief Guest,and other Guests , and officers and representatives of the education department and other departments and while welcoming he mentioned that after opening this school many dropouts has returned back to complete their education.The DC said that such a. Model School is an inspiration and he expects that the students will perform well and the Govt.has been taking such steps to increase the quality education of Tea Garden students.He further added that the vision of opening a Model School in the T.E. has finally been achieved and he even condemned that certain miscreants who are trying to disrupt such type of development in education by destroying Govt . Properties are the sources of havoc and chaos.He further said that many students leave their studies in the middle of their education which increases the drop out rates and motivated the students to complete their education.He further added that he will take action against the miscreants and the administration will never entertain such type of behaviour. Honourable MLA Shri Ponakan Baruah said that Model Schools will provide good education in the Tea Garden areas and in future he expects engineers, doctors and even bureacrats from this school.He said that Tea Industry is one of the most important industry in the whole world and Govt is coming up with more ideas and opportunities for Tea Estate localities and only willingness and cooperation is required.He further added that the Govt will thrive their best to improve the quality of lives of the Tea Estate people.Honourable Guardian Minister of Dibrugarh district Shri Atul Bora said that he is pleased to inauguratethe Tea Estate Model School and overwhelmed to see the crowd.He said that there is tough competition outside and the students should prepare themselves to compete with other students and the entire world has turned into a Global village and students should be awared with the latest study qualities .He finally ended his speech saying that the Govt. will take necessary steps to increase for the upliftment of the Tea Garden people.Students sung a chorus and performed Jhumur in thr beginning of the programme and finally Singer Bhrigu Kashyap performed and enthralled the crowd.
