IIT-Kharagpur student Faizan Ahmed was given a second burial at the Amolapatty Kabrasthan in Dibrugarh early on Sunday. Faizan’s mother Rehana Ahmed arrived with her son’s mortal remains at the Dibrugarh Railway Station, Banipur from Kolkata at around midnight from where it was directly taken to the Amolapatty burial ground and given a second burial at around 1am on Sunday. Ealier the body of Faizan Ahmed was exhumed on May 23, seven months after his burial, after the Calcutta High Court ordered exhumation of the body for a second post-mortem saying that it was necessary to find out the truth behind his death.
