Members of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) on Wednesday staged a demonstration at its Swahid Nyash Bhavan complex in Dibrugarh seeking early completion of the Industrial Technical Institute (ITI) coming up at Duliajan. The apex students’ organisation also sought immediate opening of the ITI at Lahowal which has been lying unused for several years. The AASU members also called for new appointment of teachers and introduction of new departments at the ITI at Barbaruah. It also sought solutions to various issues faced by the North Eastern Engineering Institute, Chabua.
