Air Marshal DK Patnaik who is also the Air Officer Commanding – in – Chief, Eastern Air Command visited the Air Force Station Jorhat, a premier transport airbase in Assam from Aug 15 to 17. Patnaik was received by Air Commodore Bhuvan Mathur, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Jorhat and Air Commodore V Kulshrestha, Air Officer Commanding, 5 Air Force Hospital.
The Air Marshal on his arrival was briefed on the operational, maintenance and administrative preparedness of the base along with related ongoing infrastructure development works at the Station. During his visit, the Air Marshal inspected vital installations and formations and also interacted with the air warriors. The AOC-in – C while interacting with the air warriors appreciated the progress made by the base towards infrastructural development . He urged one and all to be vigilant and maintain a high level of operational preparedness at all times.
