Dibrugarh 06th July 2021: Van Mahotsav is celebrated every year in the first week of July in which trees are planted across the country.This festival aims to encourage people to plant trees and create more forests in the
country.BCPL celebrated “Van Mahotsav 2021” amidst pandemic following all the COVID protocols.
This year, initiative on afforestation has been undertaken by BCPL in association with District Forest Division, Dibrugarh. A plantation drive was carried out at BCPL, Dibrugarh on 6th July 2021 in association with District Forest Division, Dibrugarh. On this occasion, Shri Reep Hazarika Managing Director, BCPL along with senior officials took part in the plantation drive. Sh Golap Kumar Boniya, Assistant Conservator of Forest was present along with his team from District Forest office. The main objective of this programme is to spread awareness of forest conservation and to protect the environment. BCPL as a responsible corporate citizen and its commitment towards sustainable development has accorded the highest priority to environmental considerations throughout all phases from concept to commissioning and its operation
