The Brahmaputra Crackers and Polymer Limited (BCPL) has won the award for the Excellence in Energy Conservation and Management in Petrochemicals (Public Sector) at India@75: Chemical and Petrochemical Industry Awards organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
Reep Hazarika, MD BCPL along with BCPL team received the award presented by Anupriya Patel, Minister of State, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, in the presence of senior officials from the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Industry captains, other stakeholders of the sector at the Summit on “Global Chemical and Petrochemicals Manufacturing Hubs in India” held recently in New Delhi.
The BCPL, popularly known as the Assam Gas Cracker Project situated in Dibrugarh’s Lepetkata was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 5, 2016.
