A mere 7 cm remains for the Brahmaputra River to touch the danger level in Dibrugarh on Thursday. As per data of the water resources department the Brahmaputra was flowing at 105.63 metre in Dibrugarh against the danger level of 105.70 metre at 10 am. In the last 24 hours upto 8.30 am 21.6 mm if cumulative rainfall was recorded in Dibrugarh. The highest ever water level by the Brahmaputra in Dibrugarh town was 106.48 metre recorded on September 3, 1998..
