Alongwith rest of the nation, Dibrugarh celebrated the 75th Independence Day with pomp, gaiety and patriotic fervour. Power minister Bimal Borah hoisted the Tricolour at the Chowkidinghee parade ground and took the guard of honour. He also felicitated various notable citizens of the district for their contribution to the society. Speaking on the occasion, Borah highlighted various innovative schemes and works undertaken by the Govt of Assam to empower every section of the society.
Our Govt is committed to take the state to greater heights of progress and prosperity, the minister said.
