Ahead of the scheduled April 28 visit to Dibrugarh by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Khanikar field in Dibrugarh is being readied with full preparedness. A landing strip is also being prepared nearby for the landing of the PM’s chopper on that day. Dibrugarh deputy commisioner Biswajit Pegu and SP Shwetank Mishra are personally monitoring the preparation on a day to day basis to prevent any glitches during the PM’s visit.

PM Modi during his visit will inaugurate seven cancer hospitals including the one at the Assam Medical and Hospital and also lay the foundation stone for another seven cancer hospitals from Dibrugarh. The prime minister will also address a public meeting later at the Khanikar field.
