The Development project of Infrastructure near Marwari Arogya Bhawan Hospital, Jyoti Nagar, Dibrugarh under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme of Brahmaputra Cracker & Polymer Ltd was inaugurated on Wednesday by Reep Hazarika, MD, BCPL in presence of Biswajit Pegu, District Commissioner, Dibrugarh, Dr. Saikat Patra, Chairman, Dibrugarh Municipal Board.

The development works including installation of a high mast light, development of the footpath with fitting of floor tiles and steel railing etc were taken up under the CSR project of BCPL near the hospital.

The projects were inaugurated in a function held at the Arogya Uddyan in Marwari Arogya Bhawan Hospital premises presided by Rajan Lohia, President of the charitable organisation, Shree Vishwanath Marwari Databya Aushadhalaya.

Anil Poddar, Hony. General Secretary of the charitable organisation welcomed the guests to the occasion. He also welcomed all the invited guests and members of the society present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Reep Hazarika, MD, BCPL said that BCPL being a committed corporate citizen strives to uplift the life of general populace in and around its installation. The company has undertaken various socially relevant initiatives. The company believes in the wholesome growth of the society and promotes community development through its CSR programmes. The project taken near this charitable hospital will help the general public especially the patients who comes for their treatment.

“We thank BCPL for their contribution for the greater interest of the people” – said the District Commissioner, Dibrugarh, Biswajit Pegu.

The Dibrugarh Municipal Board Chairman, Dr Saikat Patra said that the Dibrugarh Municipal Board extended all their support for the construction of the drain to sort out the water logging problem. He also thanked BCPL for providing funds for the high mast light and other development works.

Rajan Lohia, President of Shree Vishwanath Marwari Databya Aushadhalaya expressed his gratitude to BCPL for extending their support to enable the society to execute the much needed projects. He also thanked the District Commissioner, Biswajit Pegu, DMB Chairman Dr Saikat Patra, Dibrugarh MLA Prashanta Phukan and other departments for extending their support for the completion of the projects.

The occasion was attended by the Doctors, medical team, staff of Marwari Arogya Bhawan Hospital and a large gathering.
