Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer of Assam Cadre Anurag Tankha is no more. The IPS officer who was in deputation to Bureau of Police Research and Development as Inspector General (IG) passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer. He earlier served as SP of Dibrugarh district in 2000.
Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has condoled the demise of the top cop.
