Three students from Dibrugarh town brought laurels to their alma mater by securing ranks among the top ten in the class 10 board examination.

Debangana Deka of Little Flower Higher Secondary school bagged the fourth rank in the state. She secured 591 marks out of 600. In Science, English, General Maths and Advance Maths, she got cent percent marks.

Debangana is the daughter of Dr Rasadhar Deka and Binita Deka of Niz Kodomoni, Dibrugarh. Her father is a Professor at Dhubri Medical College and her mother is working as headmistress at the Paltanbazar Durga Mandir High School, Dibrugarh.

On the other hand, another student of Little Flower HS School Bonashree Gogoi bagged the 9th rank in the exam securing 586 marks.

Bonashree Gogoi is the daughter of Raktim Gogoi, a businessman and Loni Gogoi of Jibon Phukan Nagar, Dibrugarh. Bonashree is also a good table tenis player who had represented district level tournament and won many prizes.

Similarly, Akshay Kayal of Don Bosco HS School, Dibrugarh secured the 6th rank with 589 marks. Akshay is a son of Kailash Kayal, an insurance agent and Priti Kayal of Marwaripatty puja ghat, Dibrugarh.

A total of 15 215 students from Dibrugarh appeared in HSLC exam-2023, out of which 9,856 students passed. 3,299 students secured first division, 4,437 got second division and 2,120 students secured third division.
