One person was killed and 2 injured in a grenade blast in the market area at Tingrai under Digboi police station (PS) in Tinsukia district.
The grenade was thrown by two motorcycle-riding miscreants in front of a hardware store own by Turan Agarwala.
The injured were rushed to Digboi Civil Hospital.
The attack is suspected to have been carried out by ULFA-I.
Army and police officials rushed to the spot and, the area has been cordoned off by the army and police.
