Assam Schools for classes 1 to 8 and 11 would resume physical classes from October 19, 2021, in the state. Similarly, according to the official notice released by the government of Assam, classes for Degree colleges, Technical colleges, Polytechnic colleges, B.Ed colleges, and other Universities would reopen from October 1, 2021. The order is applicable for government and private colleges in the state of Assam.
According to the official notification released by the government, schools would resume physical classes for class 9 from October 1, 2021. It should be noted that all educational institutions would re-open with strict COVID-19 protocols such as maintaining strict physical distancing, wearing masks, sanitization of buildings, and others. There will also be thermal scanning as well and all stakeholders are expected to follow the guidelines.
Meanwhile, the Assam government already gave a nod for schools to resume physical classes for class 10 from September 20, 2021. Further, physical classes have also started for class 12 students in the state from September 6, 2021. Classes for 1 to 8 would be conducted for 3 days a week.
