To tackle the waterlogging problem of Dibrugarh town, the Ward Commissioner of Ward No- 5 Dibyajyoti Hazarika (Biju) was seen cleaning the dirty and clogged drain on the Rup Nagar Road with his Municipal team on Monday morning. Significantly the Rup Nagar Road is the approach road of Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan’s residence but surprisingly the drain was never cleaned since it was built many years ago, local residents alleged. The ward commissioner said that he has also take the initiative to replace all defective streelights of the area.
