Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday visited the Dibrugarh residence of noted tea planter and philanthropist Late Mahadeo Jalan. In a tweet the CM said, “Sri Mahadeo Jalan was respected by all for his dedication to welfare of tea tribe community, social work and philanthropic zeal. We’ll miss his wisdom and words of advice.
Met his bereaved family at Dibrugarh today to offer my condolences. His contributions shall be cherished.”
